Rays Bridge Ladder

Rays Bridge Ladder is an ongoing ladder competition between, at present, 13 teams. Teams can challenge other teams in the ladder and if they win can improve their Rating and Standing within the Ladder. We joined this long-term competition in the Spring of 2007 and it's early days yet as you inevitably start at the foot of the table with a nominal rating. At the time of creating this page, we've won one and lost one. For full results please follow the link above.

I do not pretend to understand how the rating works. It is explained somewhere in the notes on the website, but essentially, if you beat someone who has a skill rating higher than yours then your rating increases to theirs. I'm not sure what happens if you lose a challenge to a lower-rated team.
